About Us
Our Story:
Our story didn't start in an office; it started in the mining industry. Rhett spent years working a demanding FIFO roster, but when our first child arrived, everything changed. Missing those early milestones made us realise being home together as a family was our absolute priority. Rhett brought his heavy-industry work ethic back to the ground and secured a local role in the Garage Door Sector. He didn't just find a job, he completely fell in love with the craft. But just as things we're taking off, life threw a massive curveball when Rhett faced a series of medical challenges that forced him entirely off the tools for over a year.
To keep things moving during his recovery, he transitioned into a desk job within the Building Insurance sector, but this was not the right fit. He missed the hands on satisfaction of the trade, the fresh air and the community. After a lot of late night kitchen table discussions, we decided it was time to bite the bullet. Backed by nearly a decade of industry experience, Rhett officially went out on his own. Fast forward through two successful years of Rhett flying solo, our family grew again with our second child. When it came time for Michelle to return to work after her second bout of Maternity Leave, the corporate routine just didn't fit our family dynamic anymore. So, we made another leap and Michelle joined the business full time, bringing a wealth of knowledge to our Administration and Accounts.
Today, we are a proud Husband and Wife team living and raising our two kids right here in the Adelaide Hills. Our ultimate goal has always been to be a self sufficient family. We have no desire to build a massive, greedy corporate empire or lose the personal touch we are known for. By staying the small, trusted family business our community relies on, we ensure we always have enough in our own cups to pour top tier service, honesty and genuine care back into yours.
